Our antimicrobial peptides are brand-new antimicrobial peptide molecules with de novo design technique. After years of research and design, the problem of toxicity to human was solved with reforming its hydrophobicity, amphipathicity and helicity. It has strong bactericidal activity to gram-positive bacteria, gram-negative bacteria and fungus, especially for drug-resistance bacteria with advantages that traditional antibiotics cannot be compared.
Strong Technical Team
With a wholly-owned R & D sub-corporation, a group of R & D personnel with high levels, and a strong technical expert team internationally, ProteLight possess extremely strong independence R & D capacity. Our R & D team is led by Dr. Hartmut Michel, the Nobel Prize winner and Dr. Robert S. Hodges, Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada. Furthermore, the corporation has established the “Hartmut Michel Institute of (Jiangyin) Biomedical Research” and the “Robert (Jiangyin) Foreign Academician Station”.
Strong Capability of New Products Development
Besides the previous factors, our technical group has been researching and developing in the field of antimicrobial peptide and protein for many years, we has mastered very effective antimicrobial peptide design techniques that can design new varieties of antimicrobial peptide constantly. Over the past two years, several new antibacterial peptides have been designed and applied for relevant patent protection. Also, the R&D team of the company has developed and industrialized four series of disinfection products while carrying out the research and development of innovative drugs.
Government Policy Support
Inhibit bacteria drug resistance national action plan (2016-2020) indicate explicitly that strengthen the efforts to develop anti-bacteria drugs, support to develop new anti-infection drugs. In recent years, the corporation has got financial support from all levels of governmental departments. Our new drug project has been listed in“Science and Technology Innovation Fund” project, Major new drug Creation Project of “the Twelfth Five-Year Plan” and “the Thirteenth Five-Year Plan” by Ministry of Science and Technology and National Health Commission of the People’s Republic of China.
